Rank value as assigned in the Allen Brain Atlas. Transcripts are ranked in descending order based on the ratio of the area of expressing cells in the search structure to the area of expressing cells in the the entire brain. For example, a probe expressing widely in the striatum but at low levels elsewhere would be returned earlier in rank than a transcript expressing widely in the striatum but more ubiquitously in the brain.
