This filter limits results to transcripts that are expressed according to their rank as defined by the Allen Brain Atlas. Transcripts are ranked in descending order based on the ratio of the area of expressing cells in the search structure to the area of expressing cells in the the entire brain. For example, a probe that is expressed widely in the striatum but at low levels elsewhere would be returned earlier in rank than a transcript that is expressed widely in both the striatum and entire brain.
